"I found the service to be excellent. The monitor was posted to me the next day and was very easy to fit and use. It was very discreet and remained firmly in place for seven days without any problems. The app was straightforward and worked well. You notified me as soon as you received the monitor back which was very reassuring and I received the report within a week. The report seemed very thorough showing full details of the test analysis and the consultant called exactly as planned. He was very helpful and answered all my queries"

Self Fit At Home For Your Convenience
ECG Holter tests must be precisely fitted for reliable results. If you've never had one before, you may be unsure about fitting one correctly. There's no need to worry. Our ECG tests are designed to give you complete peace of mind. Download the dedicated app to your smart phone and link up to your ECG patch device. The lights on your ECG patch device indicate straight away if there is a problem - that way you can always be sure yours is fitted accurately. You can even watch your recording live through your phone. Once you've returned your device, our Cardiology doctor will provide a full report, and explain the results and recommendations. You can then pass your report to your GP with everything they need to help you access treatment, if required.
We only offer NHS-grade ECG Holter Tests for good reason.
Your heart health is too important to cut corners on. This is not a 2-minute 12-lead ECG that measures just 1/3000th of your daily heartbeats.
Our tests record all 108,000+ of your heartbeats in a 24-hour period, so are far more likely to pick up any problems you may have.
'The service was seamless, very responsive and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent communication throughout.'
What is an ECG Test?
An ECG (electrocardiogram) is a simple test that checks your heart's rhythm and electrical activity. Sensors are attached to your skin which are used to detect electrical signals produced by your heart every time it beats. The ECG machine then records these signals. A doctor will be able to tell if the recording shows anything unusual. An ECG isn't the same as an echocardiogram, which is a scan of the heart.
Why might I need an ECG?
A heart specialist (cardiologist) or any doctor who suspects a problem with your heart may recommend an ECG to be carried out. An ECG is often used alongside other tests to help diagnose and monitor conditions affecting the heart. You may also need an ECG to investigate symptoms of a possible heart problem, such as:
- Chest pain
- Palpitations (suddenly noticeable heartbeats)
- Dizziness
- Shortness of breath
An ECG can help indicate whether there are any problems including:
- Arrhythmias – where the heart beats too slowly, too quickly, or irregularly
- Coronary heart disease – where the heart's blood supply is blocked or interrupted by a build-up of fatty substances
- Heart attacks – where the supply of blood to the heart is suddenly blocked
- Cardiomyopathy – where the heart walls become thickened or enlarged
